IT’S
NOT WORTH THE COST! is
a dynamic video featuring a cross-section of Canadian farmers, or a
member of a farm family who has been involved in a farming accident. Entanglement injuries occur within the farming community,
forestry, fisheries and other industry. These personal stories although tragic, are inspirational.
The
video not only depicts an awareness of the different types of injuries
but also illustrates the effect that such injuries can have not only on
the victim but on their family as well. The
average farm has a wide range of machinery and devices that can grab,
cut, smash, entangle and even cause death. Farm accidents are not restricted to the
inexperienced worker nor are they age or gender specific. The reality
is, it only takes a moment for an injury to occur that can impact the
rest of your life. |
All
proceeds go to the Canadian Farmers with Disabilities Registry, a
not-for-profit organization that encourages farm safety and offers
support to provincial organizations involved with disabled workers and their families.
Established
programs are available in New Brunswick,
Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince
Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.
Unfortunately,
no one is immune to debilitating accidents. This video is a valuable
resource for families, Health Care workers, and anyone interested in
machinery safety. |
